Thorsten Skringer, Jack of all trades, a musician with the license to groove, he is known as the backbone of the band Soulkitchen.

Thorsten Skringer graduated from the "Neue Jazz Schule München" in 1995 and since then has been constantly involved in the Soul, Pop and Jazz scenes in Germany. As a founding member of the band "Soul Kitchen", he has performed all over Europe, Russia and China and has a number of other projects such as the "Earforce Bigband" and the ensemble "Der 5te Mann" with his "Big Sound". In 2003 Thorsten Skringer won the Yamaha Europe Sax Contest and began his solo career with the release of the two recordings, "Skringer & Friends live in der Badeanstalt München" and "Skringer, over the line". Furthermore, he has had two books published "Funky Sax Solos" and "Saxclinics" which focus on his unique methods for microtiming, sound and phrasing. Since the beginning of 2009 Thorsten Skringer is a permanent member of the TV Total Show Band "Heavytones" which regularly give concerts live outside the TV Total show.
